Hello Fall 2022! The School of Computer Science Welcomes New International Students!


On August 29, the School of Computer Science welcomed 10 international graduate students from the US, Canada, UK, Korea, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. With the joining of them, CS international graduate student body has expanded to 20 students in just 3 years!



This year, we are also excited to see the opening of student visa, and will be expecting to meet those students on campus soon!



On the evening of September 1, the School of Computer Science hosted an online orientation for international students. Shu Yang, the International Student Coordinator, kicked off the session with welcoming all students virtually. Followed by that, she introduced both the academic affairs officer, Ms, Sun Yueling and Ms. Jiang Dan to the students. The Vice Dean, Prof. Guo Yao, who’s in charge of teaching and curriculum within the School was also invited.



Afterwards, Prof. Bian Kaigui led the session on curriculum for both Master students and PhD students. He went into details about curriculum requirements and what students can do after graduation. Students also had Q&A time before the session ended. It was a fruitful evening!

Classes will officially start on Monday, September 5, wish all of them the best of luck in this Fall semester!
