Liu, Feng is an associate professor in the School of Computer Science. He obtained his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from Xidian University in 1999, 2002 and 2005 respectively. He worked as post-doctoral researcher during 2005-2007 in EECS Peking University. His research interests include computer architectures, multi-media processor design, and VLSI design.

Dr. LIU has published more than twenty research papers, and around ten patents. Most of the papers and patents focus on hardware-software co-design for video encoder and decoder implementation, high performance computing graphics accelerator and heterogeneous architecture on multi-media processing.

Dr. LIU has more than ten research projects including the NSFC, the 863 programs, the National Science and Technology Major Project, etc. His research achievements include high efficiency video decoding and graphics processing accelerator for low power SoC, the heterogeneous architecture for high performance multi-standard video codec and the high efficiency video decoding architecture which supports 4K AVC video codec.
